Let's talk about the mornings.
I'm a morning person. Always have been, most likely always will be. I have sympathy for night people in a world that seems to have been structured more suitably for morning people. Trust me if work hours were set for night people, I'd struggle.
I've never needed an alarm clock. An alarm was only every used for those 4am wake ups to get to the airport for a 6am flight even though even then it wasn't necessary. For a while, I experimented with an alarm to actually tell me it was ok to get up.
For several months now I've decided to get up when I wake up. That has consistently been around 4.15am. Yup by 4.30am you'll find me at my floor desk surrounded by plants, a large window and a candle writing. I've always done meditation and movement and a bit of journaling in the morning, but now I've added writing and walking outside taking in the morning smells and birdsong emanating from the woods near my home. I love this extended morning ritual.
My body either always wants up once I've had 7 hours of sleep or doesn't matter how late I'm out the night before, I'll still always wake up before 5.30am. Therefore, I like to be in bed by 9.30pm. Sleep comes easy for me then and 4.30am starts feel natural.
Anyone else playing around with waking up before dawn?
